L.A. Matsuri Taiko is proud to present the One Sound Concert: L.A. Taiko Festival XIII with Venice Koshin Taiko featuring Oedo Sukeroku Taiko. It will be an exciting showcase of heart pounding rhythm and synchronized choreography. The One Sound Concert series is set to infuse audiences with blood pumping energy and leave them with a resonating inspiration for Japanese cultural arts. Oedo Sukeroku Taiko

Oedo Sukeroku Taiko is a professional Japanese taiko group based in Tokyo, Japan. Grand Master Seido Kobayashi and three other taiko players garnered nationwide fame after founding the first taiko-only ensemble, Sukeroku Taiko in 1967. Oedo Sukeroku Taiko was founded in 1982 to further pursue a perfect blend of entertainment and traditional taiko. They have composed more than 50 original pieces, including classics composed during Sukeroku Taiko days such as Yodan-uchi, Midare-uchi, and Matsuri. They have been active as international ambassadors of Japanese culture in more than 35 countries.

L.A. Matsuri Taiko

Los Angeles Matsuri Taiko is a premier Japanese taiko ensemble that focuses on the art of taiko with the values of sound, kata (form), movement, discipline, etiquette and the spirit of the drum that has been passed down from generation to generation. Master Etsuo Hongo brought his taiko experience to Los Angeles from Japan and founded the group in 1977. L.A. Matsuri Taiko is dedicated to the advancement of the art of taiko with a deep respect of traditional Japanese culture and spirit.

Venice Koshin Taiko

Since 1992, Venice Koshin Taiko has a reputation for energetic and spirited performances. Koshin Taiko began under the direction of Master Etsuo Hongo. The members dedicate themselves to the distinctive style and vibrant performances that exemplify the meaning of Koshin: Bright Heart and Spirit.
